Sea Captain’s Sails into Summer with Brand New Renovations
Each year at Sea Captain’s House restaurant in Myrtle Beach, we take the time to clean and make renovations to our restaurant that we feel will continue to enhance the oceanfront dining experience we offer to our beloved guests. In 2020, from the interior to the exterior, every part of our building saw a paintbrush or hammer.
Starting in the interior, our guests will notice revisions as soon as they step foot through our front door. While they will be greeted by the same familiar smiling faces, they’ll find the lobby area itself has undergone a major layout transformation. We’ve relocated the hostess station further into the interior of the restaurant and designed the surrounding space to have more of an open floor concept. This will allow our guests to have more room to mingle as they anticipate dining at their favorite oceanfront tables. And don’t worry—our chess and checkerboards are still available for some friendly competition during the short wait.
Other interior updates include renovating the bathrooms and adding a fresh coat of white paint to the walls so everything is bright and new. For those that enjoy unwinding with a cocktail by the sea, you’ll be excited to hear we’re adding a brand-new indoor bar area in the Blue Room. With amazing views, a beautifully crafted oyster bar top, two flat-screen TVs, and a backlit bar with lights that change color—we’ve created a relaxing spot to catch up with friends and family. For this interior bar, we’re even designing a new mixed drink menu that will feature a variety of bourbon and whiskey-centered cocktails.
The inside of the restaurant is not the only area getting a facelift. We’ve put a fresh coat of white paint on the exterior, so our building is gleaming as bright as the white caps on the sparkling Atlantic Ocean located in our very own backyard. The Shipyard in the back has been such a huge success, it’s getting its very own outdoor cooking area. This new addition will be located right next to our ship-shaped bar and will allow us to tailor a specific menu to those dining al fresco, host large events, and better serve our guests seated outdoors. And as always, we’re continuing to feature live music on the back patio on Mondays-Wednesdays from 4 pm-7 pm, and Thursdays-Saturdays from 5 pm-8 pm.
We’re excited about all of these transformations and can’t wait for you to see them in person! We invite you in the near future to drop anchor at our new indoor bar, pull up a chair on our improved outdoor patio, or challenge a friend to a game of chess in our renovated lobby.
